Alicia Renee Knott-Freeman professionally known as Raja-Nee' grew up in Harvey, Illinois a suburb of Chicago, she began singing in church at the age of 5.
Raja landed an audition with super producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis which led to her solo project on A&M/Perspective records. Jam and Lewis went on to produce her hit track “Turn It Up” which garnered a gold plaque.
